How this site works
Alpine Fit Guide answers fit questions for climbers and ski tourers. No gear on the site has been tested by it, and no page claims otherwise.
The questions that sink a gear purchase are about fit, and fit gets buried in store pages and forum threads. Will this crampon stay on this boot? Will this binding take this sole? Is this bag far warmer than the hut needs? Each page takes one of those and answers it first.
How a page gets made
- Makers, stores and reviewers are read for the specs.
- A number stays only if it matches in a second place. If not, it is left off and the page says so.
- Each page lists its sources and the date they were read. The full list is on numbers and sources.
Money
No free gear, no paid placement. Product buttons are plain links to the store.
